Send Flowers Send Flowers
Tyler was born to Wesley and Deborah (Raabe) Walling in Fremont on December 6, 1996. He had just completed his sophomore year at Fremont Senior High School.

He has been very involved in Boy Scouts beginning when he joined Pack 190 as a Tiger Cub. He had transferred to Pack 104 as a Bear, and crossed over into Troop 104 to begin his career as a Boy Scout. He has taken part in many activities and adventures, and has received many awards. And this past December he attained the rank of Eagle Scout.

Tyler was a member of the Student Council in the 8th grade at Fremont Middle School and has been on the Honor Roll since the 6th grade. He was enrolled in the honors Math courses and honors English courses at the Fremont Senior High School and carried a 4.0 GPA, ranking him at the top of his class. At the high school he was a member of the Key Club and Renaissance Club which are volunteer groups that help the community.
While his focus was on academics, he had been a Parks and Recreation Baseball Umpire, carried the Fremont Tribune for two years, splitting a large paper route with his brother Blake. He had recently been working at the YMCA. He played football for many seasons, and this past year, decided to try tennis as his fall sport and was very successful. He was also a part of the Fremont Basketball Team and the Fremont Trap Shooting Team

His future plan was to attend Creighton University, majoring in Chemistry and Biology while earning his Bachelors Degree. Then Pharmacy School was to be next, earning his Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Tyler was a member of the First Lutheran Church, and a member of the United Methodist Youth Group.

    Dear Walling Family,

Your family has been in our thoughts and prayers all week. I am so very grateful to have had the opportunity to have Tyler in my math class this semester. He was such a talented, energetic young man who always had a positive attitude. He always had a smile on his face, yet he was driven to learn as much as he could. And though he finished with the top grade both quarters in Honors Algebra 2, it was more than just getting the grade for him. He always wanted to understand the purpose and real life applications of what we were learning, and was never content until he understood completely. I always appreciated that. As he turned in his Final Exam on the last day of school, he wanted to know how many of my previous students scored a perfect 100% on the Finals for each quarter, because he would be adding one more. He was right! I absolutely loved having him (and a bunch of his friends!) in class and will never forget all the fun times we had. Accept my deepest sympathies at this difficult time.

    Wes and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about your son. My nephew Tyler knew him, as well as several of my friends' children, and all I have heard was what a wonderful kid he was, and having known your brother well from high school, and you, I don't doubt that. Please know that there are many people praying for your family and all of the families affected by this terrible tragedy. My heart goes out to you, and I will continue to pray for God's comfort and grace for you and your family.

    For All Parents
I'll lend you for a little time,
A child of mine he said.
For you to love there while he lives,
And mourn when he is dead.
It may be six or seven years,
    Or twenty two or three.
But will you, 'til I call him back,
Take care of him for me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you,
And shall his stay be brief.
    You'll have his lovely memories,
    As solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay,
    Since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught down there,
I want this child to learn.
I've searched the wide world over,
In my search for teachers true.
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes,
    I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love,
    Nor think the labor vain.
Nor hate me when I come to call,
    To take him back again?
I fancied that I heard them say,
Dear Lord, thy will be done.
For all the joy thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run.
    We'll shelter him with tenderness,
We'll love him while we may.
And for the happiness we've known,
    Will ever grateful stay.
But shall the angels call for him,
    Much sooner than we planned.
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes,
    .....And try to understand

You will hear this from complete strangers so many times, but at times like this there really is no such thing as a stranger, rather a world of hearts that hurt with you. May God bless you and help you find comfort. There is no doubt that Tyler and his beloved friends have extra sparkle on their wings.

Heartbroken hear of this sad tragedy in your life.

    The Mansions of Heaven

This world, however beautiful, was never meant to be the place we call our home for all eternity
And though we would not choose to leave, a loving God know best, and in His time He lifts us to the place of peace and rest.
For He has built a mansion where His children will abide; free from pain and sorrow - forever at His side.
He saidHe's never leave us to face our trials alone and though sometimes we fail Him, He never fails His own.
And even when our choices are less than He would ask, He knows when human courage in unequal to the task.
We cannot judge what happens though tears and questions start. We only see what's visible- God sees into the heart.
and though there may be many things that we cannot explain, we can be sure it breaks His heart to see His children's pain.
In loving arms He bears us to a quiet place apart, where He mends the wounded spirit and heals the broken heart.
And though these ones we love so much have leftour present sight and passed into a better world of majesty and light.
Someday we'll be together in our Father's home above. We will thank Him for His grace ad mercy and praise Him for Him for HIs love.

We are praying that God will give you the strength, peace and healing you need as you put your loved one to rest in. MayTyler's memory live forever in your hearts and may his spirit of joy continue in your lives. It sounds as if he would have been a wonderful person to meet.

    Peace be with you,
    Brian and Jan Kleveland
