Tyler Dean Walling

December 6, 1996 - June 3, 2013

Tyler was born to Wesley and Deborah (Raabe) Walling in Fremont on December 6, 1996. He had just completed his sophomore year at Fremont Senior High School.

He has been very involved in Boy Scouts beginning when he joined Pack 190 as a Tiger Cub. He had transferred to Pack 104 as a Bear, and crossed over into Troop 104 to begin his career as a Boy Scout. He has taken part in many activities and adventures, and has received many awards. And this past December he attained the rank of Eagle Scout.

Tyler was a member of the Student Council in the 8th grade at Fremont Middle School and has been on the Honor Roll since the 6th grade. He was enrolled in the honors Math courses and honors English courses at the Fremont Senior High School and carried a 4.0 GPA, ranking him at the top of his class. At the high school he was a member of the Key Club and Renaissance Club which are volunteer groups that help the community.
While his focus was on academics, he had been a Parks and Recreation Baseball Umpire, carried the Fremont Tribune for two years, splitting a large paper route with his brother Blake. He had recently been working at the YMCA. He played football for many seasons, and this past year, decided to try tennis as his fall sport and was very successful. He was also a part of the Fremont Basketball Team and the Fremont Trap Shooting Team

His future plan was to attend Creighton University, majoring in Chemistry and Biology while earning his Bachelors Degree. Then Pharmacy School was to be next, earning his Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Tyler was a member of the First Lutheran Church, and a member of the United Methodist Youth Group.

The funeral service will be 2 PM Friday at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Charlie Axness. The committal will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Memorials will be determined later by the family. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary will be on Thursday from 3 to 8 PM, with the family present from 6 to 8 PM.
