I have many memories of my dear Aunt Anita. From staying at my aunt and uncle’s house in Fremont in the early 70’s to visiting her through the window at Brookstone last fall.

We have a laundry chute in our Idaho home because I was so impressed by the one I remember in their house in the 70’s when I was 5 years old. One of my most unique hunts was going after squirrels in the forest behind their place in Fremont in the 80’s. It’s interesting how many memories my Uncle Bus and Aunt Anita gave me, many of which were formative in my perspectives on various things. I thought a lot about Aunt Anita and her family today (9/14) and I appreciate the memories I have, and especially the example she set for being so close and loving to (and proud of) each and every one of her family members whether that was as a wife, mother, daughter, grandparent, great grandparent, aunt, etc. She cared about all of us and we were always important to her.

Amy, myself (Jason), and our family are so sorry for the passing of 'Aunt Anita'. Many memories of her and Bus and family during our annual summer trips from North Idaho to Nebraska!! She's now in heaven with 'Uncle Bus' and Grandpa/Grandma Hennig. We will be at Pender church cemetery next summer for sure.

Anita was my friend Janie’s mom, she was my favorite mom. She would give me all the ice cream sandwiches I wanted ..one time ate 4 and she smiled! She was good to my special needs brother Ron; would bring him chocolate bars and talk to him sweetly. Anita and Buz were good friends with my mom and dad, Darlene and Bud Johnson till their end Anita and Buz made Hancock St Norman Rockwell st. RIP sweeAnita
