Dorla was a class act always. She meant a lot to me even though through the years we did not see each other. Friendships like ours are eternal. We worked closely at Valmont and shared many laughs and good times. I am so sad today. My best to Mike and family - I know you will cherish her loving memories. (Sue Villebro)

A beautiful light has been extinguished here on earth and is now shining bright as ever in Heaven. Dorla was a beautiful person inside and out - may God wrap you in his loving arms during this difficult time and know she is in his care and dancing with the other angels.

Dorla is one on the most impressive people I have ever met. Dorla's ability to remain calm, civilized, respectful, caring and positive in any situation and circumstance, while doing so with the overriding mission of showing God's LOVE to all through patience and compassion is a life example for me to live by everyday. The thing about Dorla is she seemed to do it all with such ease, such grace and such a way that served as a bright-light shining example of how we should all behave and live everyday. I thought Dorla was doing much better and am very saddened and shocked by the news. I am certain Dorla's help is needed in Heaven and God is calling on her for some assistance and I mean that! God Bless Dorla and I thank you Dorla for what you added to my life each and EVERY occasion I ever had the honor to interact with her. You know we always seemed to laugh a lot together even when we disagreed. Although you are now with God Dorla the impact you have made on so many others (and ME) still on earth will certainly make this earth a better place as they (I will try) will also pass on your white light.
Warmest regards and deepest sympathy,
The Angels

There are times in your life when your heart stops for a moment and one of those times is when you hear that a person who was so integral to your existence on a daily basis has passed. My heart stopped today upon hearing of Dorla Ray's passing. We were co-workers and she was so much more than that. She was a person who impacted me in a very real and meaningful way. She was beautiful, inside and out. She was thoughtful, kind, and intentional. She taught me life lessons. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and contributor to easing the lives of others. And I did not tell her how impactful she was. I did not tell her I loved her. In her honor and memory, tell those who are meaningful to you what they mean. Tell them you love them. - This was my Facebook post tonight. My heart goes out to you all. I hope your grief is eased by her legacy of love and the memories she left.

I am so sorry to hear that your wife, mom, sister and daughter has passed away. She was such a wonderful, caring person! From first meeting her when she babysat my children, to working together at Valmont, then being in Bible Study Fellowship together. I am glad I got to know her in so many ways. She will be greatly missed. May God bless you during this difficult time with peace of heart and mind, and many wonderful memories.
