Died Friday January 22, 2016 at Fremont Health Medical Center

Nolan was born May 25, 1947 in West Point to Orville and Volline 'Kienbaum' VonSeggern. He grew up on the family farm 4 ½ miles west of Uehling, graduating from Uehling High in 1965. He married his high school sweetheart Connie Mahlendorf on September 10, 1967 in St. John's Lutheran Church, Cuming County Line, the same church he was baptized and confirmed in. After their marriage they raised a family and farmed, the last 35 years on his family farm. Nolan served in the Army National Guard from 1965 to 1971.

Nolan was a life long member of St. John's Lutheran Church, CCL, serving in many different ways. He was a board member of the German Mutual Insurance Company in Scribner, was a member of the Uehling Lions Club, and previously bowled in West Point and Fremont. He loved to golf with his sons and his grandkids. Nolan was an organ donor.

Sister Connie (Duane) Wegner of Minnesota
nieces and nephews

Nolan was preceded in death by his daughter Beth, sister and brother-in-law Carol and Dale Suhr.

The funeral is Wednesday 10:30am at St. John's Lutheran Church, Cuming County Line. Bob Ball and Rev. Joel Schroeder will officiate. Burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials will be determined later. Visitation is Tuesday from 3pm to 8pm with the family receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm at Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel in Hooper.
