Robert was born January 20, 1924 in Nickerson, Nebraska to Chris and Susie 'Brandt' Bubbert. He was a 1944 graduate of Fremont High School.

On April 23, 1947 he was married to Ruth Dern, and she preceded him in death on April 1, 1982.

He had worked for the railroad for a few years, then went into the construction business. He had built numerous homes in Fremont from 1950 through 1982. He served as the Dodge County Building inspector from 1982 to 2000.

On July 2, 1994 he was married to Lois (Knudsen) Bales.

Robert was a member of the Fremont Eagles Aerie 200.

Robert was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth, parents Chris and Susie, son Robert Bubbert Jr. of California, 2 brothers Quentin and Dale and Dale's wife Betty. There will be no public services.

    So sad that he's gone but also relieved that the suffering is over. Emotions are so mixed during the end times so we need to pray for strength to the living and not worry because we are promised that God will take care of us after death. Bob was an ornery old cuss. Just like brothers Dale & Quentin (my Dad). Hope heaven can handle the brothers all together once again.
