Cheryl was born June 12, 1952 in Fremont to Emil and Mildred 'Meyer' Von Seggern. She grew up on the family farm east of Scribner. She graduated from Scribner High School in 1970. After high school Cheryl moved to Omaha and attended college to be a medical assistant. Cheryl and Mark Meyerink were married on June 24, 1972 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Hooper. After their marriage Cheryl went with Mark during his 2 years in the military. After his military the couple moved back to a farm north of Hooper that belonged to Cheryl's family and finally moved in to Scribner in 1978. When Cheryl moved into Scribner she began working for the nursing home, where she worked for 25 plus years. Following her work at the nursing home, Cheryl then worked for WIC in Fremont and then for the Fremont Area Medical Center in the medical records department. Mark, Jen, Jeff, Katie & family: What a super gal and great personality. My fondest memories are of course from high school and the times we ran into each other when I was back in Scribner. I loved her wit and sense of humor. I remember she asked me once why I was back in Scribner and the first thing that I could think of was: Because the soup crackers are cheaper here than in CA and I was out and needed to take a dozen bags back. She cracked up and said she'd start sending them. Who knows why the Lord takes the people we miss losing the most. My prayers are with you all.

  10. Janet Busse
Mark, Jen, Jeff, Katie & families....... I know you all know how much Brian, the kids and I loved Cheryl. Our relationship with you goes far beyond friendship. You are all like family to us. The memories the kids and us have of all of the Christmases shared, the weddings, the babysitting, and everything else that goes with those, will never be forgotten. Cheryl was as much a "grandmother" to those kids as their own grandmothers are. They had so much fun with her, and I want you to know that we appreciate her (and all of you) so much. Thank you for being the kind of friends that people only dream about. We will be praying for all of you, and as you have always known, if you need ANYTHING, all you have to do is call. Love, Brian, Janet, Critter, Buzz, and Clyde
