  1. Rachel Struve
Though I was born one year before Helen, she married my Uncle Jack Niebaum and thus became my Aunt. We were very close friends--even before she married Jack. I loved her dearly. We both taught in rural schools in Nebraska in the 1930s. Because we were both teachers and had similar backgrounds, we understood each other well and shared many stories about our lives and families. I will miss her but have many wonderful memories of her kind and sweet personality. Her friendship was a special gift to me. May she rest in peace.
