On December 20, 1952, Mary was married in the Alliance Church in Fremont to Ted Dimmitt. Fremont has been their home except for the time Ted was serving in the Air Force in Maine. Mary worked for the First National Bank in Fremont before her marriage, and later she worked for her brother, Bob Newkirk, in his accounting business.
Family was very important to Mary. She was a wonderful wife and a loving mother. She enjoyed crafts, her Wednesday Coffee group, and she and Ted had traveled all over the world. She was a lifelong member of the Alliance Church in Fremont and for many years was the Sunday School teacher for the 2 year old children.
Her survivors are: husband - Ted
2 daughters - Debbie and husband Tim Adler of Arlington
Sher and husband Chris Gloeb of Arlington
4 grandchildren - Sarah and husband Chad Sharp of Arlington
Ben and wife Jamie Adler of Arlington
Ashley and Josh Gloeb of Arlington
1 great grandson - Luke Adler Sharp of Arlington
1 sister - Fran and husband Darrell Miller of Arlington
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bob Newkirk.

Tomball, TX Thursday, March 12, 2009 Ted & Family, I was shocked & saddened to hear about Mary's passing. I have such wonderful memories of Mary...camping at the lake in Fremont, boat rides, the bus, Okoboji and many more precious memories that I will cherish always. She was a wonderful, Godly, caring, loving woman. I always looked forward to her annual Christmas letter informing us of all the places that you had been over the year. I'm sure that Mary & my Mom (Arlis Wellman) have renewed their friendship on the streets of Heaven and are sitting at the feet of Jesus. May the God of comfort be your strength during the days ahead. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Barbara Wellman BuchnerJon Rasmussen
