Carole C. Stoltenberg, aged 76, of Hooper Nebraska passed into heaven on Friday, September 24 at her home in Hooper of natural causes.

Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on January 13, 1946, her parents were Robert C. Williams and Christine 'Hoogestraat' Foster, both deceased. She had a brother William Foster, deceased, and several half brothers and sisters still living.

Carole attended Washington Senior High School, Cal State University Fullerton, where she received her Nursing degree and master's degree in psychology. She was active in Eastern Star, Red Hats, Child Help USA, and enjoyed travels to many places in the world where she still had friends and acquaintances all over the globe today.

She practiced as a Psych Nurse for many years until health limited her work life. She loved the Glacier Bay area in Alaska and spent several trips to the area enjoying the beauty and the fishing. She lived with her family for over 30 years in Lake Forest and Laguna Niguel California where she enjoyed the outdoor life and long walks on deserted beaches in the sunshine.

Carole lived in Laguna Niguel and Hooper, Nebraska for most of her adult life. She was an avid antique collector, accomplished interior designer, avid snow, and water sports skier, and child advocate.

She has 3 grown children, 7 Grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchildren. She had a magnetic personality and was loved by many friends and acquaintances encountered during her lifetime.

She was married in 1964 to Gary Stoltenberg Sr. who survives her and was a fantastic partner and friend for 58 years. She had 3 Children - Gary Jr., Christopher Sr. and his wife Jodi, and Angela Anderson and her husband Jeff. Carole has 6 surviving Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, and one Grandchild that died as an infant.

Her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved being Grammy and adored each of them in her special way. She thoroughly enjoyed her role as the family matriarch and passed her loving ways to her family as she shared their joy as they grew to adults. She was a strong advocate for child welfare and had a personal goal that no child would live in poverty, ever be hungry, or be abused.

She will be remembered by her friends and family as wonderful friend, Mother and Wife, kind and thoughtful, and always at the ready to help anyone in need. Her light will shine on her family eternally. Go Rest High Up on That Mountain in Peace My Love - MTYLTTF You are always in our thoughts daily, and we know we can talk to angels.

So sorry for your loss. It is strange, today I went into my facebook page and was scrolling through old posts. I could not help but chuckle at some of Carole's remarks. She had such a sense of humor. Then I refreshed, going back to my facebook feed only to find out she is gone. Rest in Peace, Carole, you will be missed. Condolences to all her family and friends.
