Sandra E. Snyder, age 78 of Fremont
Passed away peacefully on April 25, 2021 at Dunklau Gardens
Surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with Alzheimers.

Sandi was born September 7, 1942 in Fremont to Miles and Neva Henry. She was baptized on February 13th, 1944 and lived her life as a child of God.

Sandi attended Garden City School and would go on to be part of the first class to graduate from the new Fremont Senior High School building in 1960.

She and George met when she was only 14 years old and he was 16. They were blessed to celebrate 60 years of marriage last July 9th.

Their love blessed them with two daughters, Jayne and Shelley, whom she loved and adored.

Sandi was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and grandmother of 5 grandchildren - Jordan, Lexie, Brayden, Austin, Alyssa, and great grandmother of 6 - Henry, Carter, Beckett, AJ, Coralyn and Brooks.

Shortly after Sandi's dad Miles passed away in 1978, she and George invited her mom Neva to live with them until she passed away in 2000. Their home was always so full of love.

Sandi helped in raising her grandchildren and absolutely loved to babysit them all. She loved to go to all their sporting events, dance recitals and all other activities - she never missed the chance to watch them grow. She carried that love onto her great-grandchildren, too.

Sandi volunteered in the church office and was a member of the altar guild for many years. She was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church and loved the Lord.

Sandi endured a courageous battle with Alzheimer's the past several years. During this time, she still managed to enjoy her family and the simple things in life. She was fortunate enough to be able to stay at home with George until the final two weeks of her life.

She was a strong, loving and caring wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother with the biggest heart. She was loved dearly by all who knew her, and we will miss her every day.

The funeral will be 10:00am, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at First Lutheran Church in Fremont (Livestream can be found at www.flcfremont.org). Private burial will follow. A memorial will be determined at a later date. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm with the family present from 6pm to 8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.

We are so sorry for your loss. Sandi and I both attended the little two room Garden City grade school. Seperated by many miles, we enjoyed following family activities on the internet. Our condolances to George and extended family.

Having lived on the ‘corner’ as a small child, I have fond memories of Sandi and her parents. She was one of the sweetest and kindest individuals I have ever known. Thinking of her always brings a smile to my face. Condolences to George, the girls and the other family members. We will all miss her but her light will shine forever.

Sandi was such a sweet, kind lady. Loved visiting with her at church. Our thoughts and prayers are with your heartbroken family. She and Neva are probably dancing 😊

I am so sorry for your loss. Sandy was the sweetest, nicest lady ever. Always a smile as she was sitting under that hair dryer every Wednesday morning. I did not know that she was failing as that was quite a shock to see she had passed. and so young. I know she will greatly be missed by ALL. love to you all!!

I just heard about Sandi. I feel so sad. We were the very best of friends during our high school years and she was the best kind of friend I could have ever hoped for. I know she will also be missed so very much by all of her family. My most sincere sympathy goes out to you George, Jayne, Shelli and the rest of the family. You are all in my prayers.
