I am devastated to hear of Aaron's passing. It seems like just yesterday we were playing in the backyard or forming our own secret club in the attic. No one else was allowed in the club, obviously. I definitely won't forget Aaron's phone call in elementary school after my family had moved -- we shared our excitement over both winning Young Authors that year, and how much we were looking forward to seeing each other at the city-wide event to share our stories and celebrate each other's accomplishments.

I want to extend my heartfelt and sincere thoughts to his family. My hope is that Aaron has found peace. His memory will continue through the people in his life. His friendship is not forgotten.
