Larry L. Gitt, age 77 of Fremont

An electrician by trade, he started the local business Gitt Electrical and later Woodcraft Manufacturing until retiring in 2003. It was then he perused his lifelong passion of aviation by flying, building and owning various types of aircraft- both conventional and experimental. His most remarkable feat was landing (or crashing) his Gyrocopter in a field in North Fremont, walking away unscathed.

Larry will be remembered as having a quick wit, a fearless attitude and a zest for life.
