On October 19, 1941, Lila was married to Elmer 'Al' Bartlett. While Elmer served in the US Army, they lived in Colorado before his transfer overseas. Following the war, they lived in California, Arlington, Ralston, Valley, and Fremont. For several years Lila owned and operated Freddies Café in Arlington, and after moving to Ralston she worked for Field Paper Co. as an executive secretary. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her home and family.
She had belonged to the Methodist Church in Arlington in the early years, participating in youth work, church circle groups, and chairman of the cradle roll. She belonged to the Whats So Ever Club. She also served as a den mother and worked with the Red Cross. She was a member of the Junior League and the Fremont Alliance Church. She was an avid bridge player and received great enjoyment visiting with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer 'Al' in July of 2011, an infant daughter, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and her parents.
The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Thursday (April 25th) at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Scott Jensen. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation at the mortuary will be on Wednesday from 3 to 8 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Louis E. May Museum and to the Fremont Area Medical Center Hospice. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Monty Sellon, the Fremont Area Medical Center Hospice, and the staff of Merrick Manor.
