Mike was a devoted husband and the proud father of five sons and grandfather to 14 grandchildren. His family was the greatest joy of his life. Nothing made him happier than watching his children and grandchildren grow, participate in their activities, spend time outdoors, and make memories together. He was always their biggest supporter and could often be found sitting on the sidelines, cheering them on.
Mike had a deep love for farming and the outdoors. He was a hard worker who took great pride in the land and the work that came with it. Whether he was farming, fishing, working outside, or simply enjoying the fresh air, Mike was happiest when he was outdoors and busy.
Those who knew Mike will remember him for his wonderful sense of humor and his ability to make people smile. He was a true jokester, always ready with a funny comment, a good-natured tease. His laughter and personality brought warmth and joy wherever he went.
Mike also had a special talent for bringing his family together around the dinner table. Every Sunday, he smoked meat for his entire family, turning a simple meal into a cherished family tradition. His cooking skills were enjoyed and appreciated by everyone, but the time spent together around those meals was what made them truly special.
Mike's greatest legacy will not be measured by the work he accomplished or the acres he farmed, but by the love he gave to his family, the memories he created, and the countless smiles and laughs he brought into the lives of those around him.
Though he will be deeply missed, Mike's spirit will live on in the family he loved so dearly, in the land he worked, in the outdoors he enjoyed, around Sunday dinner tables, and in every story told with a smile and a laugh.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Marie Vacha of Scribner and a sister Carol Brester of Dodge.
Visitation with the family present will be 5-7pm Thursday, October 1, 2026 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Scribner. A wake service will follow at 7pm. Memorial Mass will be 10am, Friday, October 2, 2026 also at St. Lawrence.
Following the funeral service relatives and friends are invited to join the family for dinner at the Hooper Auditorium. Private family burial will be at a later date in the St. Mary's Ridgeley Catholic Cemetery. Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
