Died Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Pathfinder Place in Fremont
Wayne was born January 22, 1939 in Stromsburg, Nebraska to Edwin and Elvera 'Nybloom' Magnuson. He grew up on a farm west of Osceola. He attended District 62 through the 8th grade then attended Stromsburg High School. After graduating he joined the US Army National Guard. His working years started at Johnson Chevrolet in Osceola until he was called up to active duty. After his military service he worked at Schmidt Standard while studying at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He then attended Midland College before working for the Fremont Public Schools. He began a long career working in the automotive industry. He worked for Ray Brester Conoco, J.C. Penney auto center, Claudes Standard, Larry Swanson Chevrolet and finally Huber Chevrolet in Omaha.
Wayne was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Fremont. On June 12, 1970 Wayne married Nancy Linder, she preceded him in death.

Son - Don (Crystal) Magnuson of Norfolk and their children Cora, Cale and Brynn
Brother-in-law - Jim Linder of Omaha
Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Nancy in 2018 and son Jon.
The funeral will be 1pm, Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Calvary Baptist Church in Fremont. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont with the family present 5pm to 7pm. Memorials are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church.
