died, June 28th, 2026, at Jefferson Abington Hospital in Abington Pennsylvania.
She will be remembered for her kindness, faith, and unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community.
Connie was born in Fremont, Nebraska, to Doris (Hilgenkamp) and LaVerne Busch. She was raised on the family farm in Washington County, where she learned early that hard work builds character and that sitting still is wildly overrated. She graduated from Logan View High School and continued her education at the Lincoln School of Commerce. After finishing her studies, she worked in Lincoln for several years before relocating to Pennsylvania - a place she would proudly call home for the rest of her life, all while cheerfully reminding everyone that Nebraska still held a permanent spot in her heart.
In Pennsylvania, Connie worked for McNeil, Jet Plastica, Macy's, and several other companies. She was known for her reliability, her strong work ethic, and her willingness to jump in wherever she was needed. Connie was never one to sit still - she approached every task with energy and purpose.
Her faith was a steady compass throughout her life. As an active member of Gloria Dei Church in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, Connie found deep purpose in fellowship and in serving others. She treasured the friendships she built there - and they treasured her right back, surrounding her with love, comfort, and compassion in her final days.
Connie loved being outdoors. She spent time gardening, enjoying nature, and playing softball - an activity that brought her joy and camaraderie. She was also a devoted sports fan, cheering passionately for any Nebraska Husker team and proudly supporting the Philadelphia Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles. Her loyalty was fierce, even when her teams made choices she strongly disagreed with. No matter how questionable the play call, how painful the loss, or how many times she yelled at the TV, she still managed to display that signature ''Nebraska Nice.''
She is survived by her friend and companion, Francis (Fran) Haney of Norristown, PA; her brother Larry (Judy Rosenberg) Busch; her brother in law Rich Schurman; and her tolerated nieces and nephews: Ron (Jennifer) Busch, Michael (Tena) Busch, Tim (Hailey) Meier, Nikki (Nate) Ruffcorn, Jodie (Bill) Bishop, and Ann (Heath) Holtz, as well as niece in law April Busch and many great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Carol (Busch) Meier-Schurman, her nephew Allan Busch, step-nephew Brice Wood, and step-niece Christina Mount (Wood).
Connie will be remembered for her feisty spirit, her stubbornness, her steadfast faith, her love of family, and her tireless dedication to the people she cared for. Her life was filled with quiet acts of generosity, hard work, and devotion - gifts that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Memorials may be directed to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 6024 Butler Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422, where Connie spent many years worshiping and volunteering. Services are pending at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Blue Bell for her Pennsylvania friends and church family.
Services are also pending at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont, Nebraska, where her Nebraska roots will be honored just as proudly.
