Allan W. Johannes, age 80, of Fremont
Died Saturday, June 20, 2026 at home.

Allan was born July 22, 1945 in Columbus, Nebraska to Paul and Annette 'Heines' Johannes. He was raised on a farm south of Creston and graduated from Creston High School. Allan served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1969. He returned home after his service and attended school in Milford. He married Connie Janecek on June 21, 1969 in Dodge. The couple lived in Omaha before moving to Fremont in 2007.

Allan's working years were spent at National Cash Register. After his retirement, he worked several part time jobs. After moving to Fremont, he worked for Cylinder and Slide for several years before retiring again in 2025. Allan was also a lifetime member of the American Legion.

Wife - Connie
Children - Dale (Michele) Johannes of Lincoln and their children Ava and Zach
Paula (Mike) Roman of Bellevue and their children Alec and Gavin
Jim (Richelle) Johannes of Arlington and their children Lane, Tate and Kerrigan
Brother - Arlyn Johannes of Columbus
Sister - Adrienne 'Jo' (Bob) Shemek of Tarnov, NE.
Allan is also survived by a host of other family and friends.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents.

The memorial service will be Tuesday, 10am, July 14, 2026 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont, with Military Honors by the Fremont Honor Guard. Burial will be at a later date in the Omaha National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
