Born in Omaha, Nebraska, to Raymond and Edna Kruger, Linda lived a life defined by love, kindness, and devotion to her family. She made her home in Fremont, where she built a lifetime of cherished memories and touched countless lives with her warm heart and generous spirit. On September 24, 1966, Linda married the love of her life, James A. Russell. Together they shared nearly 60 years of marriage filled with laughter, perseverance, and unwavering commitment. Their love story became the foundation of a family that grew to include children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who were the pride and joy of Linda's life.
Her greatest happiness came from spending time with family. Whether she was preparing a favorite meal, baking something sweet, tending her garden, crafting handmade treasures, or gathering loved ones around her table, Linda found joy in making others feel loved and welcome. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and acceptance and everyone who entered knew they were cared for.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Edna Kruger; her sister, Daisy Nichols; her sister-in-law, Dorme Foss-MacNeil; and her beloved dog Isabella.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James A. Russell; her children, Laura (Allen) Russell, Eric (Kathy) Russell, David (Julie) Russell, and Lisa (John) Price; her grandchildren, Heather (Lenard) Hall, David (Patty) Russell, Evan Russell, Sydney (Steven) DiMiceli, Hunter (Justine) Russell, Vincient Price, and Zachary Price; her seven great-grandchildren, Layla, Aspen, Ella, Addy, Penelope, Ben, and Max; her brothers Joseph (Mary) Fullerton, Ralph (Carol) Thompson; her special sister-cousin Marian Lane-Dryden; sisters-in-law Susan (Bill) Howsden and Sharon (Paul) Rolenc; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In honor of Linda, hug your loved ones a little tighter, gather around the table with family, tend a garden, share a homemade treat, or offer kindness to someone who needs it because those simple acts of love were the gifts she gave so generously throughout her life.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held at a later date by the family.
