Died Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.
Evaline was born October 10, 1938 in Oakland, Nebraska to Martin and Hazel 'Bergquist' Olson. She attended district 17 school at Swaburg and graduated from Uehling High School in 1956. She married R. Gary Way on October 14, 1956. They lived most of their married life in Fremont. Evaline was a home maker and then worked for Fremont Public Schools as a cook. She was a member of Sinai Lutheran Church.

Son - Ron (Julie) Way of Fremont
3 grandchildren - Alex and Bryan Way, Kendra Coufal
1 great granddaughter
Sister-in-law - Sandy Olson of Fremont
Brother-in-law Ray Eastberg of Ft. Collins, CO.
Evaline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gary in 2012 and brother and 2 sisters.
The memorial service will be 2pm, Monday, February 2, 2026 at Sinai Lutheran Church in Fremont. Burial will be in the Elim Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to Sinai Lutheran Church or the Elim Lutheran Cemetery.
