June Darlene Anderson was born June 9, 1930 in Oakland, Nebraska to Margaret Ethel 'Nelson' and Gust Emil Anderson. She was baptized on March 13, 1931 at West Side Methodist Church in Oakland. She grew up in the area and attended Morningside Country School District 17 through the 8th grade. She attended Oakland High School and graduated in 1948.

June worked at the 5 & 10 store in Oakland after graduation and moved to Fremont in 1951 with her family. She lived the rest of her life in Fremont.

Her working years were spent at Gamble Shomgo Warehouse in the office at the order desk. She also worked at Karl's Jewelry, Anderson Jewelry, Koffee Kup Café, DeKalb Hatchery and Daniel Rexall Drug (later known as Miller Pharmacy North). She worked there for 34 years and retired in 1995.

June enjoyed cooking, baking cookies and caring for her black and white toy terrier dog Sadie. She loved animals and shopping.

Survivors:
Nephew - Jeff and wife Barb (Schulenberg) Frey of Fremont
Great Nephews - Justin, wife Kendra Frey and their children Knox and Ella of Fremont
Nicholas, wife Casey Frey and daughter on the way of Fremont
Many other relatives in Illinois, Oakland and Lyons.

June was preceded in death by her only sister Jean Anderson Frey.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 12, 2024 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont from 2pm to 4pm. The funeral will be 10:30am, Monday also at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont the Rev. Terry Cosier will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.
