Beverly Jean (Soderling) Knoell passed away at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln May 13, 2022.

Bev was born August 11, 1929 in Oakland NE to Howard and Gertrude Soderling of Lyons NE. On May 29, 1947 she married Robert Knoell at Marysville KS. They settled in Fremont and had three children: Kathleen Kaufman, Barbara (Robert) Fickbohm and Robert Lee (Sally) Knoell.

Bev loved caring for her home and family. She was a charter member of Sugar and Spice Extension Club and Peace Lutheran Church of Fremont. She worked outside the home at Vienna Bakery and Safeway Bakery where her specialty was decorating cakes. She used her creativity to decorate special birthday cakes for the family.

She retired as the hot lunch supervisor for Davenport Elementary School. Her favorite hobby was quilting and her love for her family will live on in the many beautiful quilts she made.

She was preceded by her parents, husband Bob, son Bob, son-in-law Brad Kaufman, brother Howard.
Survivors include daughters Kathy and Barb, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Elaine Holbrook, Falbrook IN; Joann Nelsen, Riverside CA; Lois Konopik, Omaha and Sandra Hansen, Fremont.

A celebration of life will be Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:00 am at Peace Lutheran Church. There will be no visitation.
