died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Fremont Health.
Mildred was born January 22, 1914 to Rick and Sena (Christensen) Mintken on the farm northwest of Fremont. She attended the rural Jalapa School, and graduated from Hooper High School in 1931.
On February 16, 1933, she married Russell Wagner at the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church northwest of Fremont. Then she joined Zion Lutheran Church (which merged with Redeemer Lutheran Church of Hooper). Mildred was the custodian for Redeemer Lutheran Church for 29 years, giving up that job at age 82. She had taught Sunday School, served in many of the offices of the church, and helped make many quilts with the church women. She has remained a member for 85 years.
Her husband Russell died in 1966, and in 1969 she married Herbert Meier. Herbert died in 1977. She also is preceded by 3 brothers, Orville, Curtis, and Donald, a grandson Brad Peterson, a son-in-law Dick Moulton, and step-son Duane Meier.

The Memorial Service will be 2 PM Friday (Febr. 23rd) at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper with interment to follow in the Hooper Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at church. Memorials are suggested to Redeemer Lutheran Church. Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
