Mabel was born on January 2, 1918 in Amsterdam, Missouri to Clinton and Alma 'Sundquist' Ferry. She received her education in school district 80 in Bates County, Missouri.

In 1939, Mabel moved with her family to Grants Pass, Oregon. In Oregon, she met Theodore Niederkofler, who was in the Army Boot Camp at that time. They became engaged and he left to fulfill his military obligation. Then on January 3, 1945 they were married in Missouri. Later, they came to Lincoln, Nebraska where he finished his military service at the Veteran's Hospital. While living in Lincoln, Mabel worked for Western Electric. Upon retiring the couple moved to Oregon. When their health began to decline, they came to Fremont.

Mabel was preceded in death by a brother Harold Ferry and a sister Ruth Baker.

The funeral service will be in the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel, Fremont, on Tuesday (Jan. 8th) at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Jim Brooks of the Evangelical Free Church officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary will be today (Monday Jan. 7th) from 3 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 PM.
