Leonard H. Lechner

Leonard was born August 2, 1926 in Nebraska City, Nebraska where he grew up on a farm near Paul, Nebraska. His parents were Theodore and Agnes 'Kuhlman' Lechner.
He had worked for the railroad, and in Fremont for the former Fremont Cake & Meal (now Archer-Daniels-Midlands Co.), and retired from Hubbard Milling in 1991.
On May 10, 1968, he was married to Evelyne Houghton Lewis in Beloit, Kansas. They made their home in Fremont.
Leonard was a member of the Fremont Eagles Aerie 200.
Survivors: daughter - Doreen and husband Doug Peterson of Wahoo grandson - Timothy Peterson of Wahoo great grandson - Mason Morton of Lincoln 4 sisters - Marie Koeppel of Nebr. City Lorine Hespin of Syracuse Evelyn Hagar of Ragland, Alabama Elsie Hicks of Omaha brother - Francis and wife Bernadette Lechner of Trenton, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyne on Sept. 17, 1991, and by brothers Ervin and Kenneth.
The funeral service will be 2 PM Monday (May 19th) in the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. The committal will follow in Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM, with the family receiving friends from 2 to 4 PM.
