Henrietta was born to August and Christine 'Solle' Lohmeyer in Brooklyn, New York on October 27, 1909. She moved with her family to Uehling, Nebraska in 1911. She was confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church of Hooper, and was a 1927 graduate of the Hooper High School.

On June 11, 1930, Henrietta Lohmeyer was married in St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Uehling to Melvin A. Ruwe. They farmed in Washington County until moving into Fremont in 1970.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle and its Lutheran Church Women. She had taught Sunday school for over 40 years. Henrietta was also a member of the Midland Women.

She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin February of 1994, by 2 daughters Jeanette Arps and Alice Klover, and a sister Dorothy, and by her parents.

son - Dr. Dean and wife Kelly Ruwe of Troy, Ohio

several great and great, great grandchildren

The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday (June 16th) in the Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle with the Rev. Robert Hayden officiating. The committal will follow in Salem Lutheran Cemetery at Fontanelle. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont will be on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM, with the family receiving friends from 2 to 4 PM.
