Linda K. 'Mead' Snyder, age 76, of Fremont
Died Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Nye Legacy in Fremont.
Linda "Mead" Snyder was born on March 30, 1949 in Nebraska City, Nebraska. She grew up in Nebraska and later moved to Missouri where she spent time raising her children and then moved to Fremont, Nebraska where she resided the remainder of her life. She lived a full life defined by family, resilience and simple pleasures that brought her joy.
Linda was married to her husband, Theodore "Ted" Snyder, for 34 years. Together they built a life centered around love and family. She was the daughter of Harold and Alta Mead and grew up alongside her siblings Irene, Allen, Ronnie, Elizabeth and Marilyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and a grandson.
Linda was a devoted mother to her children: Michael O'Flaherty, Michelle O'Flaherty, Matthew (Teri) O'Flaherty, Lisa O'Flaherty, Charles Graff, Kelly (Jessie) Graff, and Lacey (Ben) Franzen. Her family continued to grow and was her greatest pride, with 29 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren who brought her immense happiness.
Throughout her life, Linda worked various jobs, always doing what was needed for her family. She was known for her straightforward nature and 'no filter' personality, which those close her came to love and appreciate.
Linda enjoyed the simple things in life - an ice cold Coca-Cola, crime shows and her favorite treats. These small comforts reflected her down to earth spirit and the joy she found in everyday moments. She will be remembered for her strong will, her love of family and the many lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Friday January 23rd at 11 a.m. at Southern Style 648 N Broad St Fremont, NE.
