Larry F. Strong, age 79 of Fremont
Died Monday June 3, 2019 at home.

Larry was born July 30, 1939 in Hooper to Clinton and Bernice 'Lorensen' Strong. He married Melissa Davis February 20, 1959. Larry lived nearly all his life in Fremont, graduating from Fremont High School in 1957. After graduation he began working at Phelps Tobacco and Candy. Larry often would fondly recall boyhood memories of hunting for rabbits, life with his twelve brothers and sisters, being a pinsetter at the local bowling alley, and time he had spent in the Boy Scouts.

During his prime years of his life sandwiched between episodes of Carol Burnett, Archie Bunker, and Barney Miller, Larry was an avid snooker pool player, played in various golf leagues, fastpitch softball, and bowling. He traveled to many national bowling tournaments with his wife and friends. During the mid-1970's he reigned for six weeks as the King of The Hill Champion on KETV's Jackpot Bowling.

Later in life, Larry continued to play in senior golf leagues. He also continued working his only job with his only employer Phelps Tobacco and Candy, later known as Columbo. His work career of 60 years came to an end in 2017 due to his health. In his final years, after finally retiring, he still enjoyed watching old westerns, pro golf tournaments and baseball on television.

Larry is survived by 3 children Jeanette Jeppesen of Fremont, Doug (Nancy) Strong of Fremont and Mark(Christy) Strong of Omaha, 8 grandchildren Tasha(Beth), Taylor(Maddie), Kaylee(Tyler), Tarah(Justin), Lindsay(Jared), Wrigley, Addison and Clark; 8 great grandchildren Jaymee, Delaney, Neva, Vivian, Zach, Oaklie, Abby and Noah; brother Jim(Gloria) Strong of Fremont, 3 sisters Judy Goad, Dana (Ron) Sidorski, Susan (Paul) Ortega all of Washington State, sisters-in-law Mila 'Pee Wee' Marty and Edith Strong both of Fremont.
