Aaron L. Peters

Aaron L. Peters, 91, of Scribner
died Tuesday morning (March 6th) in the Fremont Health Medical Center.

Aaron was born October 15, 1926 in Hooper to Leo and Louise (Weiland) Peters. Since 1938, he has lived on the same Scribner area farm. He was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Hooper. He graduated from Scribner High School in 1944.

From March of 1945 to December 1946, Aaron served in the United States Army, with a tour of duty in Korea and Germany. Following his discharge, he returned to the Scribner farm. On November 9, 1947, he was married to Darlene Fehrer. Aaron farmed until 1995, then drove truck for L & L Lumber of North Bend. He also worked for Walmart and sold Archer Oil, along with custom farming and running the Ridgeley Township maintainer.

He was a member of St. John's Ridgeley Lutheran Church where he had served on the church council and on most the church committees. He was also a Sunday School teacher. He was a 4-H Leader for 14 years, and he was a member of the Scribner American Legion Post 121.

Aaron's wife Darlene died on January 2, 1995. He was also preceded in death by 2 granddaughters.

3 sons Lowell (Patty) Peters, Gayle (Nancy) Peters, and Gary Peters, all of Scribner
3 daughters Linda (Stan) Giese, West Point, Lynette (Jim) House, Fremont, Lorna (Norman) Ruskamp, Dodge
12 grandchildren Tim (Trisha) & Nick Peters, Maggie (Justin) Libra, Lindsay & Kayden Peters,
Matt (Melissa) Giese, Micki (Jeff) Iverson, Jeremy & Jason (Meghan) House, Phillip (Angie) Ruskamp,
Kathy (Daniel) Jones, Patrick Ruskamp.
13 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 2 PM Saturday (March 10th) at St. John's Ridgeley Lutheran Church (southwest of Scribner) with Rev. Dr. Nicki McIntyre. The committal will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel in Scribner on Friday, 3 to 8 PM, with family present 6 to 8 PM. Memorials are suggested to St. John's Ridgeley Lutheran Church.
