Tim Eifert was my junior high math teacher in 1970-71. He had our respect, and we learned a lot from him. Later, in high school, Mr. Eifert offered guidance to me from time to time as I was on the girls track team. I remember Mr. Eifert as upbeat, encouraging, and friendly. Also, who can forget seeing him once in awhile on a summer night driving his fun little Corvette around town. Prayers to Ellen and all those friends and family who will greatly miss him. Rest in eternal peace. Tuesday, October 6, 2020 |

Mr. Eifert was my one of my favorite teachers at Logan View. He made math fun and he was the first teacher that helped me learn algebra! He always had jokes and stories to tell. I saw him a few times after high school and he was always friendly and chatted with us. Rest in peace Mr. Eifert. Sunday, September 27, 2020 |

Mr Eifert was one of my favorite teachers. He taught me, both my brothers, my sister in law and 3 of my nieces. He was a good person who was good with young people and I never heard anyone say a bad word about him. Have been reminiscing about him and Junior High with former school mates since we heard of his passing. Everyone had very kind words and were sorry to hear of his passing. I spoke with him recently as I do customer service for his phone company. we talked a bit and he said it was good to talk to one of the little critters he used to teach. That was Mr Eifert, always a warm and funny sense of humor. Rest in Peace. Sunday, September 27, 2020 |

Ellen- we were so sad to hear of Tim's passing. We have great memories of Tim at the golf course and caroling at your house with the church kids. We also were happy to have him teach our girls at Logan View. He will be missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Sunday, September 27, 2020 |

Ellen: I was saddened to read about Tim's passing in the Fremont Tribune. We lived about one block south of Tim's parents in McCook on West 6th Street. My father, Neal Gallant, was Tim's 7th grade math teacher and basketball coach at McCook Junior High. Tim was one of dad's best math students. Tim had remarked to me that my dad had influenced him to become a Junior High math teacher and coach.
In 1972 I opened up a law office in Hooper, and Tim crossed my path again as he was teaching at Logan View.
When I would visit with Tim he always spoke of his fondness for McCook, especially their western hospitality. Tim and I were in 6th grade at North Ward in the 50's. He always mentioned our 6th grade teacher, Miss Allen, referred affectionately as "Hurricane Beryl" since she ruled with an iron hand. The 6th grade class was so large as a result we met in the gym.
When Tim was single he rented a small house from me in East Hooper. I could not blame Tim and yourself for moving out post marriage.
I guess all we have in life are memories. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I will be sending a memorial to Logan View Educational Foundation.

Tim was a great neighbor in Fremont. I enjoyed the visits to visit he and Ellen. I don't remember their dog's name, but he was a lot of fun. Tim would look after my mother and me. I wish that I could be there... Saturday, September 26, 2020 |
