My condolences to the Fischbach family. I remember Gene as a generous and noble person with a kind heart. He has now found his righteous place in Heaven with all the saints and angels.

Uncle Gene was an amazing man. I loved listening to his stories of our family and his life. He was always giving to others and accomplished so much in his lifetime. He made a huge difference in the world around him! My boys loved to talk to him about Scouting and always gave him the Scout Salute when they saw him. He was a hero to all of us! He will always missed!

Uncle Gene was our hero who we admired. We loved his stories of past history and his wisdom. He always had a warm inviting smile and his hugs were comforting. We will miss him greatly.

I shall always remember the times shared, Christmas was always extra special as the Tholund tribe was welcomed in your home. You devoted your life to family , God and Country making a huge difference in the lives of everyone you met. Your presence shall be missed but my memories of you and Aunt Vi will forever make me smile knowing your above with mom and dad and hear the laughter as you watch over us. Dana so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed talking to your Dad a few times . He had some great stories. When taking care of those cats it was fun to see the mementos at the cabin from some of those stories. Great memories for you too. He seemed like a great guy, I am sure he was a great Dad.
