Elaine E. Harms, age 89, of Fremont,
died Wednesday night (Oct. 8, 2014).

Elaine was born June 23, 1925 in Fremont to Victor and Clara (Eggers) Kluge. She grew up in the Scribner area on the farm. Elaine was the valedictorian of her Fremont High School graduating class.

Following her marriage to George Harms, the couple lived on a farm near Scribner. In 1964, they moved to a farm northwest of Fremont. Elaine moved into Fremont 2 ½ years ago.

Elaine was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Fremont and had been active in its ladies organizations.

She was preceded in death by her husband George, and her daughter Lila Archer.

The memorial service will be 1 PM Saturday (Oct. 11th) at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. Private committal will be in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for distribution. Visitation and viewing at the mortuary will be today (Friday. Oct. 10th) from 4 to 8 PM with the family present from 6 to 8 PM.
