Marcella was born March 26, 1921 on a farm near Scribner to Henry and Elsie 'Zwicky' Cordes. The family moved into Scribner when she was 2 years old. Marcella graduated from Scribner High School in 1938 and married Raymond Lamberty on August 29, 1945 in Scribner. She worked with her brothers at her uncle's grocery store in Scribner, then the family Lamberty Hardware Store also in Scribner for over 40 years, retiring in 2002.

Marcella was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner. She was involved in the church as a Sunday School teacher and a member of the choir. She also belonged to the St. Peter's Ladies Aid.

Sons Mike and wife Brenda Lamberty of Lincoln
Ron and wife Nancy Lamberty of Seward
Daughter Trudy and husband Lee Meyer of Kearney, MO.
7 Grandchildren
15 great grandchildren

Marcella was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in January of 1994, also 3 brothers and a sister.

The funeral will be 2pm Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner. The Rev. Bruce Schut will officiate. Burial will follow in the Scribner Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church or to the Scribner Rescue Squad. Visitation will be Friday 3pm to 8pm with the family receiving friends from 6-8pm at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel in Scribner. Visitation will continue for 1 hour at the church before the service on Saturday.
