Shirley A. (Cookie) Spangler age 75, of Fremont, formerly of Omaha
died Oct 5, 2020, at the Fremont Methodist Hospital with her family by her side.

After graduating high school in Fremont in 1963, Cookie went on to work at Western Electric until she moved to Omaha, where she worked at Old Mill Toyota before returning to Fremont. She was a proud contract employee of USDA NRCS in Fremont, where she had several accomplishments, some of which impacted the way the company does business across the nation. She enjoyed barrel racing with her award winning horse Misty. She enjoyed spending time at the river, fast cars and was proud of her ability to shift a four speed and hangin a hairy second. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020 at St Timothy Lutheran Church, 538 W. 16th Street. Followed by a luncheon at the Eagles club in Fremont. She was proceeded in death by parents, LeRoy and Hazel Hanson. Survived by sister, Donna Lee Lackas (Donald), Niece, Darci Blakely, Nephew Durk Lackas (Jenny) and many great nieces and nephews.
