Laura Beth Turner, 80 years, of Fremont, NE,
passed away Wednesday, March, 01, 2017, as a result of medical complications.

Beth was born July 15, 1936 to William G. and Geneva B. Amspacker in Concordia, KS. Beth grew up in Concordia and married Norman A. Turner on June 16, 1956. After being married they settled in Fremont, NE, where she worked at the Fremont Tribune as a proof editor. They later had Bryan E. on July 12, 1960 and Douglas J. on June 02, 1963.

After having children, she mainly focused on the family and became a stay at home mom. Beth was involved with Boy Scouts as a Den Mother, volunteered at the Clarmar library, and was very involved with her son's sports activities. Along with being involved in family events, she also was a part of the local women's auxiliary letter carrier's association in Fremont, and eventually became an officer for the state chapter.

Along with family another passion of hers was music. In high school Beth received professional singing lessons and was a part of the school choir. She was also a part of the Sweet Adeline's women's singing group here in Fremont, NE. Beth sang at the Calvary United Methodist Church, and was requested numerous times to sing solo, at weddings and funerals.

Beth was a very compassionate and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She always put others before herself, especially when it came to her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandson Preston J. Turner of Fremont, NE.

Survivors include her husband Norman Turner of Fremont, NE; Bryan (Sharla) Turner and their children Logan and Trace of Carrollton, TX; Douglas (Special friend Angie Proctor) Turner also of Fremont, and his daughter Kelsey of Omaha, NE; her two sisters Barbara Cobb of Eudora, KS and Relda (Max) VanLaningham of Lago Vista, TX; and extended family.

The memorial service will be 10am Friday, at Church of the Nazarene in Fremont. Visitation with the family present will be Thursday from 5pm to 8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. Memorials can be directed to the family for later distribution.
