Dear Gail, Teri, Chris and family,
I was so saddened to hear about Vern! Just happened to be looking at the paper online and saw his picture. I think of you all every time I drive by the house on the way to see Dad. Many fond memories of visits with you when we were kids! God bless you all on the next part of this journey!

    Gail and Teri,
What a shocker (about an hour ago), to see that you have lost your loved one, Vern! ! ! My deepest sympathy to you and yours in your loss! About 2 weeks ago, I was thinking of you guys, looked in the phone book, but did not find your number or address. I assumed that you're using cell phones only. But tonight, I was looking for another Fremont friend's obituary, and saw Vern had passed away! Had I known this this morning, I would have attended his funeral service! I'm so sorry for your family. Now, for all the fond memories of our Walnut Grove days with him and Har! There are lots of them, Gail. Also the joyous parties we had at your house at different occasions! The memories will live on.
May you draw comfort and strength from your family and friends, your FAITH, but most of all, your LORD! My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss and bereavement. (FYI: I live at the same house, 511 North Street / Beemer NE 68716, and my phone number is: 402-528-3633. Leave a message if I don't answer.) I would LOVE to hear from you - any time, Gail! God's peace be with you and your family in the days, weeks, and months ahead. Love you! Rosemary (If you desire, please send to me or leave message of your address and phone number so I could at least call you!) Thanks!

    Gail & Teri,
We do not have enough words to express to your family of how our hearts are grieving for all of you. When we look out of the windows at Peace Lutheran Church and see the flagpole with the American Flag waving in the Nebraska wind we will remember him with love. We will keep you all in our prayers.

Gail, Teri and Chris, Ruth and Frank......saddened to hear this news. I have lots of memories of Vern involving our mutual love for Sheephead! I had always heard talk that he and my Uncle Luke were quite a pair in their younger days too! Was glad to see him here in Columbus a couple times this year. May you find comfort in God's promise of the Resurrection and in the support of family and friends.
