Lloyd L. Schlecht age 77, of Scribner
Died Wednesday June 24, 2015, at Nye Legacy in Fremont

Lloyd was born July 9, 1937 in Wisner, Nebraska to Joe and Eleanore 'Behling' Schlecht. He was raised in Wisner and Madison where he attended high school. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959. In 1958 Lloyd married Marian Borland. After his service the couple moved to Madison where Lloyd worked on a farm. They then moved to Murdock, NE. and he worked for a cattle feeder. After returning to Madison they operated a Dairy Farm for several years before moving to a farm west of Scribner to work with Lloyd's brother. They lived for a short time in Uehling, working for another cattle feeder before coming back to a farm south of Scribner where he managed a Hog Co-op. Lloyd eventually moved into Scribner in 1976. He then worked for Scribner Grain for over 20 years and as a welder at Smeal's in Snyder until retiring in 2005.

After retirement he loved to work around the house, especially gardening. He was known as a kind and gentle man who loved his family dearly. Lloyd was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner.
