Fremont, NE Monday, June 8, 2015 Carol - I was so glad my memory served me right and that you are the Carol Skalak that I knew from Mutual of Omaha. So sorry to hear about your loss! If you ever feel like e-mailing me, I'd be glad to hear from you.Jody Coley

Seattle, WA Saturday, June 6, 2015 John was on of the last of the truly dedicated farmers in our nation. He farmed the land and lived in the original home that has been in the Stenvers' family since 1875. He and his wife Carol worked hard and raised three amazing children. I am so happy that I got to spend the day with him and Carol last summer, not knowing that it would be the last time that I would see him. I will always remember his forthrightness, dry sense of humor and blue eyes that twinkled when he was teasing me and my siblings. I was proud to be his niece.
