Elaine was born June 28, 1923 in Nickerson, Nebraska to William and Clara 'Freeman' Reeves. She grew up in Nickerson and graduated from Nickerson High School. On August 1, 1940 she married Byron C. Christensen in Marysville, Kansas. They lived on a farm west of Fremont all their working years. They retired and moved into Fremont in 1985.
Elaine was a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, serving on the property committee and belonging to the Ladies Quilting Circle that made quilts for donation. She volunteered as a Gray Lady at what was the Fremont Area Medical Center (now Fremont Health). She was a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and the Eagles Club and past member of the Fremont Area Art Association.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Byron in December of 2002, daughter-in-law Jackie Lynn Christensen, a grandchild, sister and 5 brothers.
The funeral will be 10:30am Thursday at St. Timothy Lutheran Church. The Rev. Russell McDowell will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2pm to 8pm with the family present from 6pm to 8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.

fremont, NE Friday, April 10, 2015 I remember Elaine from St Tims..I always enjoyed her in meetings and conversation , she could tease you with such a straight face, then give you a great smile . I have missed seeing her and will always remember her for her great FAITH and loyalty to her church and church family. she was a great example to us all.
