Paul L. Doty age 85 of Fremont
Died Tuesday March 31, 2015
at Nye Pointe Health & Rehab

Paul was born on January 28, 1930, at Eskridge, Kansas, to Elmer and Bessie(Wiseman) Doty. Paul attended the rural country school at Eskridge. Paul moved to Nebraska in 1949 and met Caroline Lahmann. They were married on March 19, 1950, at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont. Two children were born to this union, Beverly and David. Caroline preceded him in death in 1989. On January 29, 1992, Paul married Delores Winter in Fremont, Nebraska, and gained five step-children to make his life even fuller.

Paul was employed for many years at the Fremont Hospital. He enjoyed working at the hospital with the many employees and gained many friends throughout his years there. After Paul retired from the hospital, Delores and Paul enjoyed traveling to Europe, Mexico, and spending winters in Arizona. Paul loved his beloved Huskers, eating at Keno, selling Big Rick BBQ sauce for his nephew, reminiscing about the earlier days of his youth, and visiting with people and making their friendships. Paul was a story teller. His pride and joy were his grandchildren and seeing the accomplishments they were making in their lives.

Survivors include his wife, Delores; daughter, Beverly (Bob) Krutz, Orchard, NE; son, David (Barb) of Stapleton, NE.; stepsons, Jim Winter, York; Bob (Diane) Winter, Pat (Shelley) Winter, Fremont; stepdaughters, Debra (Bruce) Bonow, Morrill, NE, Lynette Winter and Robert Hartgrave, Mead, NE.; grandchildren, Seth(Amber) Doty, Omaha; Jessica Doty, Blue Hill, NE; Suzanne (Jordan) Weiss, Omaha; Krista Doty, Kearney; Paul Krutz, Sioux Falls, SD; Jamie Doty, Lincoln; great-grandson Orion Doty; step grandchildren, Chris and Brian Bonow, Shannon and Lindsey Winter, Robert Hartgrave, Shelby Winter, and Ryan Winter and step great grandsons, many nieces and nephews and friends.
