Gene served on the Church Council, other church committees and was superintendent of the Sunday School. Gene enjoyed cheering his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's activities and watching the Huskers. He loved to play a good hand of cards and belonged to a couples sheepshead club for 59 years until Covid. He most enjoyed traveling with Marlene, spending time with his family and working on the farm.
