Chapter 1: The son of James and Arlene Cross was born March 15, 1936 in Meriden, Connecticut. He had no sisters and no brothers, he was an only child. Family and friends called him 'Bill." His school days and young adult life was in Meriden. As a young athlete, boxing was his sport.

Chapter 2: His first marriage was in Meriden, Ct. and he had several children: James, William (son) and Cathy, Robert Arlene, George, Mary, Guy Lee, Peggy and Floyd. Also, Garnelle Barrows and Marie Inez Cross.

Chapter 3: In 1971 he married Sarah Waddell. They were the parents of twelve children at 74 Shadee Lane Waterbury, CT. Two of the twelve have gone on to be with the Lord. Survivors are Michael and Laura (daughter) Pleasant of California, Jacob (son) and Tina Cross of Nebraska, Adam (son) and Paula Cross of Connecticut, Jonathan and Sarah (daughter) McLeod of South Carolina, Noah (son) Billie Jo Cross of Nebraska, Mark and Ruth (daughter) Spellman of Connecticut, Aaron Cross of Vermont, Keith and Leah (daughter) Zeisler of Nebraska, Joel Cross of Connecticut, Michael and Rachel (daughter) Grothe of Nebraska. From this union was 32 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Chapter 4: In 1971 William met Jesus and he was 'Born Again'. He was adopted into the Royal Family of God. He loves the Lord and telling people about going to church. He was a member of Deliverance Church of God in Christ for 29 years. He served as a Deacon. Whatever he could do for the church, he did.

Chapter 5: In 2000 Bill and Sarah moved to Fremont, NE. He was a member of the Living Word Church for 19 years. He was also a member of the Ministerial Association of Fremont. Since his move to Fremont, William was blessed with another son, Jesse Henrichson.

Chapter 6: Bill was a truck driver before his retirement. He enjoyed singing, cooking, and catering. He catered many weddings in Connecticut.

Chapter 7: William Wilson Cross went home to be with his heavenly Father on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 12:15pm.

William, we all will miss you and your smileto be continued in heaven.

The funeral will be 11am, Tuesday, August 25, at the Living Word Church (11th and Lincoln). Visitation will begin at 9am on Tuesday at the church. Masks are strongly suggested. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont in charge of arrangements.
