Dennis A. Anderson, 84, of Fremont
formerly of the Uehling area, died Thursday, May 25,2017, in Dunklau Gardens, Fremont.

He was born in the farm home in rural Hooper (Swaburg) October 15, 1932 to Allan and Viola (Luther) Anderson. He attended Swaburg grade school and graduated from Uehling High School in 1950. Then he farmed the family farm until retiring. He also did round baling work for many years. He was a volunteer fireman in Uehling for over 20 years and served on the rural board. Dennis and his wife Elsie moved into Fremont in 2014.

He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church of Swaburg where he served on the church council, was an usher, and he kept the cemetery mowed for many years. In his earlier years, he was on the Hillside Dairy baseball team.

Dennis was married to Elsie Ladehoff in 1973.

Survivors are wife Elsie and her children, sons - Don (Joan) Ladehoff of Elkhorn and Joedy Ladehoff of Wyoming, daughter - Jacque Calkins of Arizona. Dennis has 8 step-grandchildren and 14 step-great grandchildren, his sister, Sonja (Ken) Wiley of Arizona, 3 nieces Debbie(Jim) Tiller of Omaha, Terri (Eric) Roper - Chicago, and Tanya Amon of Arizona, nephew- Van (Dawn) Hall of Norfolk.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Gloria and husband Ed Ross, and Darlene Hall.

Dennis donated his body to the anatomical board. There will be memorial service 10am Saturday June 10 at Elim Lutheran Church, Swaburg. Rev. Judith Johnson will officiate. Memorials are suggested to Elim Lutheran Church. Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, is assisting the family.

    My sympathy to you and your family. I only got to know you for a short time when Dennis and Larrie were room mates at Dunklau Gardens. I know the last few weeks were very hard for you and I am so sorry you had to go through that time but I am sure you have a lot of good memories. Just hold on to the memories of the good times.
