Theresia 'Tracy' G. Arett, age 92, of Fremont,
died Tuesday (December 23, 2014) at Fremont Health.

She was born March 19, 1922 in Rock Rapids, Iowa to Johannes and Grace (Boomsma) Menage. She grew up in Rock Rapids, graduating from Wilson High School in May of 1939.

She worked as a receptionist and lab technician in a doctor's office in Rock Rapids from 1940 to 1943. From 1944 to 1946, she lived in San Antonio, Texas working for the Civil Service during WW II in the Brooke General Hospital, Fort Sam Houston. She returned to Rock Rapids, Iowa in 1946 and worked in a dental office. Then from 1948 to 1952 she worked for the Rural Electric Association in Rock Rapids.

On December 28, 1946, Tracy was married to Richard I. Arett, who was from Austin, Minnesota. They lived in Rock Rapids for 5½ years, then moved to Omaha, NE in May of 1952, and to Ralston, NE from 1953 to 1962, to Wayne, NE from 1962 to 1973, and in June of 1973 they couple moved to Fremont. Her husband Richard was a livestock buyer for Hormel's.

Tracy was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont where she was active as a circle chairman and president of the ladies group, and participated in music groups. She also sang with the Sweet Adelines. She was president of the New Neighbors Club 1974-1975, and was active in Music Boosters. Tracy was an avid golfer a member of the Thursday Morning Ladies League at Valley View as well as a member of Nebraska Women's Amateur Golf Association, and was the NWAGA representative for the Valley View Golf Club. She also belonged to a bridge club and was a member of PEO Chapter EX.

Tracy was preceded in death by her parents, her 3 brothers Peter, Charles, and Leo, and her sister Ida.

The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday (Dec. 29, 2014) at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Matt Knopf. Visitation, with the family present, will be from 2 to 7 PM Sunday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church or to the family for distribution.
