Vernon was born October 24, 1936 in Yakima Washington to the late Anthony and Marie (Craig) Lenz. Vernon was adventurous and funny, he lived his life with passion and to it's absolute fullest. As a veteran, inventor, craftsman, entrepreneur, motorcyclist, and Porsche enthusiast he was never without a great story to share. He enjoyed art, music, travel, and relaxing on porches with bottles of wine. His charisma was often punctuated with the sweet aroma of pipe tobacco and a contagious laugh that always made you feel like you were home.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Adelyn of Fremont; brother Larry and sister-in-law Karen; his children and their families: Lance and Sherril; Tonya Marie; Chad and Mariafrancesca; Rod and Donna; Brian and Karen; Lisa and Steve; as well as 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Louisville, KY Saturday, October 15, 2016 So sad to here but happy he did it his way as he generally did. Vern was truly the most interesting man in world. The stories he told would have made a tale so varied most would never believe it. I first met Vern through our shared interest in Porsche cars. We soon there after became good friends sharing breakfast nearly every morning till the first sign of cold then off to Arizona he would go. Rest easy good friend for the world is a much better place for you having been here. As much as my own father I will think of you every day.Marty Toben
fremont, NE Thursday, October 13, 2016 Dear Lenz family I'm so sorry for your loss, I met Vern over 3 years ago through a mutual friend Vern was a great encouragement to me when I was going through a difficult time starting my own business. He offered to let me use his shop until I could find a permanent place for my shop. I never had to take him up on his offer . I found a place for my shop . But his words of encouragement helped me to go after my dreams of starting my own business again. I will always remember Vern for that. I loved to go visit him at the shop and here of his adventures. I'm so glad I got to know Vern, I only wished I would of known him longer to here more stories . I'm reminded of the words Vern told me after he told me of his illness I'm going to a better place. Yes indeed , HEAVENDee Wagner

We will be heading south from Ontario in early November and if there is anything that we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to lean on us.
