You became my friend through bad circumstances but I learned so much from you about courage, fear, hope, kindness. And we shared our love for Jon Bon Jovi! It was an honor to be with you in your fight. Now put angel wings on and fly free. We will miss you. Hugs to your family

First off I want to express my deepest and sincere sympathy to the entire Nielsen and Kallesen family for their loss.
Oh Jeri my dearest friend. You will be forever loved and missed so much by me. God brought us together that day back in 1999 for a reason. He knew we needed each other and now it was his turn and he needed you. Take your angel wings and fly...you are now free. I know you will be with me always in both my heart and soul.
You are a beautiful strong person, you fought so hard and I am so proud of you. You showed me what strength and determination is.
I will never forget our laughs and all the wonderful memories you gave me for 16 years. The crazy things we did, the trips we took and the crazy things that always happened to us. Husker tailgating will not be the same without you but you will always be there in spirit with us. Life will have an empty place in it without you, my Friday nights will forever be dedicated to my friend Jeri. Many Friday nights of laughing, talking and venting. (Don't think your off the hook as I still plan to vent to you real often :-)).
I hope I was as good of a friend to you as you were to me and one day we will again be together, until then take care my friend. I love you dearly and forever......

It is with great sadness that I am writing this letter; and on my own, as we both know, you always reread, and sometimes rewrote, my letters, and emails because I'm not good with wording correspondences. But you always knew what I was trying to get across and wanted to say, as you will with this letter.
There are so many of us that are going to miss your text messages, emails, phone calls, your laugh, smile and your love for Nebraska sports.
You were dedicated in everything you did in life: being a parent, wanting the best for Dani, working diligently at your job, your prevailing friendship, and the love you had for your family. You were such an inspiration to so many people; my life was blessed when we became friends, and now I have an empty spot in my heart, which will be very hard to overcome. I pray that I was as good of a friend to you, as you were to me.
Throughout your illness, you hardly ever showed others if you didn't feel good, always remained positive, hopeful and a fighter until the end. And even though you hadn't given up, The Lord knew it was time for you to go to His Home. You are in a beautiful, peaceful place, where you are cancer free; how happy I am for you my friend. So I should not cry as I know you are healed, but I miss you and always will as long as I am on earth, so when we meet again, we will have a lot to catch up on.
I love you and miss you my friend

    Jolene and family,
I am so sorry to hear about your daughter Jeri. I know she has been ill for a few years and must have put up quite a fight. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jeri was a wonderful person with a zest for life and the Huskers. Her laughter and smile always filled our cubicle at Pamida. Her strength through her illness and positive attitude were an incredible inspiration for all who knew her. My life was richer for having her in mine. My heart is broken, but I am glad that her pain is over. She talked of Dani, her parents, and brothers and families often. She loved you all very much. Dani, she was incredibly proud of you. Her love for you all will never end.

Dani and the family of Jeri. I'm so sorry for your loss. Jeri was the most hard working, courageous and nicest woman I have had the pleasure to know and work with at Pamida. We had some of the best conversations on Nebraska football.
May she rest in peace and God bless.
