The memorial service for Russell J. Lallman, 86, of Salt Lake City will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at the Brookestone Village Chapel, 4330 S. 144th St., in Omaha.

He died at his residence in Salt Lake City.

He was born on April 19, 1929, on the family farm north of Arlington to George and Cora (Brandert) Lallman. Russell was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hooper. He attended elementary school at Vacoma and Immanuel Lutheran School. He graduated from Hooper High School and went on to receive a B.A. and B.S. in Geology from the University of Nebraska. He later served in the army.

He lived for many years in Salt Lake City and enjoyed taking trips to the surrounding mountains with his friends. Summer was his favorite season, and he enjoyed attending musical events in the city's parks. He never lost his love for learning, and was always open to meeting new people and following current events. His foundation in the church remained very important to him.

Survivors include: his sister, Corrine Joyce "Barton" Lallman of Torrence, Calif., his sister-in-law Carol Lynn Lallman of Omaha, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Robert Lallman, his brother, Burnell and wife, Margaret "Nelson" Lallman, his brother, Dean Lallman and niece, Deborah Barton.

Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Hooper.

Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
