James A. Wiseman

April 5, 1943 - May 15, 2015

James A. Wiseman, 72, of Fremont, passed away suddenly at home Friday, May 15. He was born to Oren & Evea (Hansen) Wiseman April 5, 1943, in Colby, KS. The family lived in Canorado, then Goodland. He graduated from Sherman County High School then attended Ft. Hays State College 3 years.

Early 1965, he met the love of his life, Elaine Beringer, in St. Francis, KS. They married April 17, 1966, at Salem Lutheran Church near St. Francis. Their daughter, Carol, was born in 1968 and son, Jon, in 1971. Their grandsons Garrett and Cody were born to Jon and wife, Jen.

In 1965, Jim started at L.J.Messer Co. in Goodland and Colby. They moved to Wray, CO, in 1968. He worked at Wray Auto Parts. In 1979, they moved to Minden, NE, to open J & E Auto Parts. After selling their store in 1990, they moved to Fremont, NE, where he worked for R.J.'s Auto Parts and, then, later, Mize & Co. After retiring from sales, Jim drove for Railcrew Express then delivered the Fremont Tribune. Jim retired in 2010.

Jim belonged to Sinai Lutheran Church, Fremont. He was a Masonic member since 1976, serving as Master 3 years. While in Fremont, he was a dual member of Hiram 52 and Fremont 15. He loved working with recycled wood, reading books, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughter, Carol, and special friend, Joe; son, Jon, and wife, Jen; grandsons, Garrett and Cody.

Visitation Thursday from 6pm to 7pm with a Masonic Service at 7pm. Funeral service is Friday 10am all at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. Private burial at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to the Masonic-Eastern Star Home for Children, Fremont, or to the family for future determination.
