Leanna & Delmar Petersen

RIVERSIDE, CA

Genelle & I grew up in the same neighborhood & walked many miles together, rain or shine in NE weather. She was my Maid of Honor, a true best friend forever. Our Son Blair and her daughter Susan were baptized together, Genelle, my cousin, Donna Lackas & I were baptized together. The 3 of us graduated from High School together, We spent many visits to Genelle's home & attended a few NE games together as well. She always kept me informed about our Fremont friends after we moved to CA. To say she will be missed hardly seems enough.

I graduated with Genelle in 1956. Also, had some very good times with her n my cousin , Leanna (Blair) Peterson .who introduced her to me.she was a very friendly person n a lot of fun. We had fun at our class reunions also. All three of us worked on the reunion commuter. She will be missed by quite a few people.

Joann Schlapfer

Fremont, NE

Our thoughts and prayers for Genelle's family. My sister Joyce and I worked with Genelle at Bird Engineering many years ago. She was a very sweet and quiet lady picked me up for work when the office was in Valley for a while. I had no idea she was a resident of Providence. My 98 year old Mother-Martha Christo became a resident in January 2020. I wish I had known she was there; and would have visited with her a bit. God Bless-Joann Christo/Schlapfer
