We heard only today of Dave's passing, so we our expressing our condolences to the family at this late date. Dave made a point of welcoming us to Fremont in 1973. He was our banker, and a few months later became our landlord for a time, but from the time we met Dave was always a friend to us. Please accept our sympathy. Saturday, March 6, 2021 |

Simmons Family: I first met Dave at the old YMCA in Fremont when I was in charge of the Basketball leagues there. He was a scrawny little 8th grader who was a frequent visitor at the "Y". Great little kid and a remarkable Adult. Don D Tuesday, January 5, 2021 |

Dave was a great friend to both of us! Our paths crossed when Sally was principal of Dave's children, and continued through the years. He was a wonderful person who did so much for Fremont! He will be missed. Thursday, December 31, 2020 |

I am so sorry to learn of Dave's passing. I knew Dave from the water aerobics class at the Twin Rivers Y in Valley. He was such a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humor. He always had a funny story to tell. I looked forward to talking with him because he was so interesting. He will be missed, but he will sure be a hoot in Heaven.❤ Wednesday, December 30, 2020 |

Lora & I enjoyed singing (and acting) with David in the Broad Street Review vocal group. He always had something positive to say and was fun to be around. I always remember how how helpful he was with big and little things within the group. We had many great conversations before and after rehearsals. Our sympathies go out to Dave's family. He will definitely be missed. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 |

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. We graduated from Fremont High together. I would see him at Jay's in Fremont when eating there. He always had a smile on his face. We had Sr. life saving class (swimming) together at UNL. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 |

My condolences to the Simmons family. Dave was a very good friend. We first met at one of FNBO's golf outing numerous years ago. We hit it off because we were both bad golfers but we both liked speed and race cars. Dave drove my modlite race car, he was a gifted race driver. We worked together a couple of years back when he was a hired as a consultant for FirstBank of Nebraska. He was a smart banker as well. I will miss him. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 |
